You don’t owe me anything

One day, a poor boy who was begging from door to door to feed his hungry stomach decided he would ask for a meal at the next house. However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door. Instead of a meal, he asked for a drink of water. The woman thought he looked hungry, so she brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it slowly, and then asked,”How much do I owe you?” “You don’t owe me anything, “she replied. “Mother has taught us, never to accept pay for a kindness. “He said….. “Then I thank you from my heart. Years later,that young woman became critically ill. The local doctors were baffled as they couldn’t cure her.

They finally sent her to the big city, where they called in specialists to study her rare illness. Dr Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation. When he heard the name of the town she came from, a strange light filled his eyes. Immediately, he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to her room. He recognized her at once.

He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to save her life. From that day he gave special attention to the case. After a long struggle, the battle was won!!! Dr Kelly requested the business office to pass the final bill to him for approval.

He looked at it, then wrote something on the bill. It was sent to her room. The woman feared opening it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her life to pay for it all. Finally she looked, and noticed something was written at the edge of the note “Paid for in full for a glass of milk”.

Tears filled her eyes as she immediately remembered … . Every form of kindness u sow doesn’t bounce, it reproduces itself. Not necessarily before your eyes but it always does. I’ve been kind to you by sharing this story with you. So, be kind to share it with others

Performa II (habis)

Hai brother,

Semoga coretan awal kemarin “performa” masih anget. Hubungan Film and magician

Kesan yang ditinggalkan oleh magician seperti aroma minyak wangi kelas wahid. Ingat di mall, saat Anda mencium Aroma wangi yg berputar-putar di sekitar hidung, padahal empunya sudah jauh di sono. Kesan mirip seperti itu.

Nah, dalam sulap, kesan di hasilkan oleh tools dan misdirection

—-Tools—-
Saat ini, saya masih memegang JK Rowling, penulis novel Harry Potter, dalam urusan penciptaan kesan. Tokoh utamanya dibangun dalam begitu nyata dalam sebuah dimensi sosial lengkap dengan: sistem politik, budaya penyihir, setting fantasi, olahraga fantasi, dan masih banyak lagi. Dan saya sebut elemen-elemen itu adalah tools. Subject milik jk rowling.

Dalam sulap “tools” atau subject ialah properties, gimmicks, devices and teknik pesulap.

—-Misdirection—

Disini, Rowling berhasil menjalankan tools nya untuk membangun misdirection. Yang pada akhir setiap bab membuahkan surprise. Setiap kejutan pasti meninggalkan kesan. “Kok iso yo?”

Dan tentu itu tidak mudah. Pasti membutuhkan konsentrasi dan daya imajinasi yang terlatih.

Kita magician, punya keuntungan. Karena tools kita visible. Dapat kita gerakan dan pindahkan secara fisik. Tidak perlu berimaginasi seberat rowling.

Hanya kembali kepada magiciannya, maukah menciptakan misdirection sempurna dan diledakan dalam surprise? Hingga menimbulkan efek “kok iso yo?”

Menembus Normalisasi

Lebih dari 9000 kali saya gagal memasukan bola sepanjang karir saya. Hampir 30 pertandingan saya mengalami kekalahan. Dalam 26 kesempatan saya telah dipercaya untuk memasukan bola guna memastikan kemenangan, tapi saya gagal. Saya berulang kali mengalami kegagalan dlm kehidupan. Tapi justru itulah sebabnya mengapa saya menjadu org yg berhasil. (Michael Jordan)

Saya ada 13 boneka ventri tapi hanya Piko yg berhasil dikembangkan. Bayangkan jika saya gagal pada boneka ke 1 atau ke 2.

Semuanya melawati uji coba dan banyak cemohan. Terutama dari pihak keluarga dan teman. Mengapa buang waktu dan tenaga untuk mempelajari suara boneka? Mengapa tidak bisnis normal2 saja?

Setiap kali saya dicerca kalimat2 seperti itu saya selalu membuka dompet saya yang bertuliskan: Hindari kerumunan. Bangun pemikiran Anda sendiri. Jadilah pemain catur, bukan pionnya (Ralph Charell)

Oleh karenanya saya selalu termotivasi untuk menerobos segala kemungkinan. Karena saya percaya hukum quantitas. Semakin banyak berkreasi dan bertindak semakin jernih menentukan memilah2 mana yang bagus dan mana yang mesti disingkirkan atau diperbaiki.

Kedua, saya menolak “Practice make perfect”, tapi percaya “Right practice make perfect”
